GETTING STARTED
COMMON LPG FAULTS
1
Classic supply-side symptom. If the regulator or the run cannot keep up under load, the boiler fires, then starves and shuts down. Replacing boiler parts will not fix it, and we see people pay for that.
2
In very cold weather bottled LPG can struggle to vaporise, particularly on smaller bottles that are running low. Worth checking the level before assuming the boiler has failed.
3
The diverter valve, same as on mains gas. Common, and usually a straightforward repair on a boiler that is not too old.
4
Usually the pump, a motorised valve or the controls rather than the boiler. Check the room thermostat has batteries and is calling for heat before anyone comes out.
5
A leak, a passing pressure relief valve, or an expansion vessel that has lost its charge. The rate of loss tells us which, so note how often you are topping it up.
6
Off-grid properties are often more exposed, so the condensate pipe outside is more likely to freeze. Warm, never boiling, water along the pipe usually clears it.

We asked LMB to come and service an inherited boiler (which was probably around 15 years old) in our new house last year and Lloyd has been back a couple of times to fix issues we were having with it.

We hired Lloyd to carry out a boiler service and outdoor tap replacement. He was very punctual, arriving at the agreed time and very polite.
